Loyal subjects of King Arthur - standing, Sir Sigra- mor, and Sandy, seated, Elaine, Clarence and Launcelot. 'TVX 7. 'a connecticut yanltee in lcing arthur's court' A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, was presented by the senior class the evenings af April SO and May l and ata matinee April 29. The three-act play was something different in the way of plays for Willamette. The first act opens in the twentieth century in the home of a young engineer lust out of college. Through one of his mechanical devices, he is thrown back through the centuries to the time of King Arthur. From there on the fun really begins. The court pronounces him a monster and decides he is to be burned at the stake. By recalling ancient history our hero remembers there was an eclipse of the sun on that day he was to be burned and he decides with its help he'll run their little show. This he does most successfully. After a few mayor problems he is transported back to the twentieth century as ,XP-' quickly as he left it.
