A' CAPPELLA CHOIR S21 tw if This is the first year that Willamette has had a large girl ensemble. The Willamette Chorlaeers is composed of twenty-eight girls, mostly ninth and tenth graders. They have sung at various assemblies and assisted the choir in presentation of its Christmas program. The four main characters were Dee Remillong, the mother, Mrs. Mclntyreg Don Schwartz, the father, Professor Mclntyreg their teenage children, George and Terry, played by Ronnie Christensen and Joan Jones, Others in the cast were Sophie, Lois Fowler, Mrs. Patterson, Elfrieda De Youngq Elsie, Mary Parrettg the cop, Pat Cary, Gcorge's friends. Gunnar Christiansen, Leroy Wacker, Ken Harper, Bob Brown, and Ray jones. The girls in the east were Delores Coburn, jean Kiger, Kitty Bertelsen and Faye Isaacson. The dancing couples were Bob Gilbert and Belva Loc, Ronnie Moulton and Bonnie Hartford, Bob Marxen and janet Murray, Jerry Enyart and Alice Doss. and Larry XX'olfe and Darlene Eaton. Student director was Elvira Jones. Mimi Sanchez was in charge of inalte up. Pub- licity was headed by Flfreida De Young and Dorothy Pellant with Rolland Cioodridge in charge of lighting. The story tools place in the patio of Prof. Mclntyre, who doesn't understand the problems concerning teen agers. Many enibarawing situations arose including a dance, a mixup on refreshments and .i raid lvy the police including an arrest. At the end every- thing turns out all right. The play was directed by lloward Zimmerman with the help of class advisers Paul- ine Layne and Clarence Miller.
