BAD The 60 piece Wolverine band is one of the school's m'ost active organizations. The group, directed by Mr. Covey, has played for most home athletic events. many pep assemblies, and other school functions. ln October our band was host to ten neighboring bands at an all-day band clinic and concert. The band and lettermen com- bined efforts to put on a successful Fun Night in November. The annual spring concert was held on May ll. On April 3, the band entered the contest field for the first time when it competed in thc district meet at Albany. Sixth, seventh and eighth grade band groups also have played for various puhlic meetings throughout the year. A Sign Unto You was presented by the Senior Class as the Christmas Assembly along with a selection of Christmas music by the choir and the girls glee. The program was given as a public perform- ance the night of December 20. December 21 it was presented for the students. ' A Sign Unto You was directed by Merl Ploghoft.
