ERVICE CLUB The Service Club is a select group of boys chosen from the student body because of their in- terest in assisting with all student body functions. The club was first organized by Mr. Gillespie, who saw the need for such an organization to assist in making Willamette High School activities the smoothly functioning events they now are. Membership of this club is open to any senior high student who so desires to obligate himself with the responsibility of obtaining, present- ing, and being responsible for films, slides, filmstrips, recordings, machines, and all other audio-visual aid equipment. New members will be acceptable only by the vote of a committee made up of the of- ficers. This year's officers are Donald Schwartz, president, Bob Marxen, vice-presidentg jim Han- son, secretary-treasurer, and Dean Hartung, adviser. RIFLE CLUB The Willamette High School Rifleman Club is affiliated with the National Rifle Association. The group is composed of mem- bers of the student body inter- ested in developing skill in the use of the rifle as well as learning cor- rect, safe methods of handling the weapon. This past year all firing has been done at the Eugene Armory. Ernie Sirotek made high score honors for the season.
