ADMINISTRATION The main problem still confronting the school board and administration is that of construction. Next year a girls' gym will be added on to the high school and also a new wing is being added to the Clear Lake Elementary School. This year the administrators moved into their new office building which helped ease their many problems of inter- ruption and crowded facilities. The Willamette Junior Varsity squad under the coaching of Torn Turnbull turned in a SOO? sea- son record by winning three and losing three. They opened the season on their own gridiron by dropping Siletz 9-6 in a Saturday afternoon game on September 29. The Willamette Junior Varsity lost their third game when junction City came down to hand us a 7-0 loss after a scoreless first half. The Wolver- ines beat Springfield on September 27, when Stan Parsons threw a 35 yard pass to Keith Painter to break up a scoreless tie and give us a 6-0 victory. The Junior Varsity defeated Cottage Grove 7-0, here October 29, in an afternoon encounter. Albany got even by edging the Junior Varsity 13-7 there after a halftime tally of 7-7. Albany garnered their final T.D. in the third period. With a minute left, Will-Hi pushed to the Albany one, but lost the ball on downs. Willamette's J. V. coach, Tom Turn- bull, was born in Ontario, Oregon. There he spent his high school days, where he lettered in football, basketball, and track. He then went to O.S.C. for a half year before enlisting for a three year hitch in the Navy. After being discharged he at- tended Vanport College and U. of O. This is his third year at Willamette as our math teacher. COACH TOM TURNBULL
