Junior Class Play Brings Women ' s Lib To Rogers Juniors presented their most profitable venture of the year, the class play, on December 15 and 16. Under the direction of Mr. Ken Brown, the juniors produced F.L.I.P.P.E.D., a comedy about women ' s libera- tion. You ' ve come a long way baby, but not far enough was the slogan of the New York women ' s lib society called Femi- nine Liberation Idealists Party for Permanent Equality and Democracy. Clyde and Christabelle Pendle- ton were shocked to discover their daughter Niki was involved with a lib demonstration. Chris- tabelle feared her husband would lose the congressional nomination if the news became public. As the play progressed, males gathered to prove the liberation wrong. The men, dressed in kit- ten costumes, invaded a discothe- que and took the roles of women. The invasion was halted as the police raided the club and the members were hauled into court. As a climax to the story, the characters attempted to tell the judge their own versions of what had happened. To complicate matters, Judge Coleman turned out to be a woman. e Kim Powell asks reporter Wayne Sutter to tell his version of what happened. 30 - Junior Pjay M -, (J ' nstrate at a construction site by heckling and whistling at males.
