Mason, Knight serve goals of education DR. CHARLES C. MASON--Superintendent of Schools MR. RAY CONARD-President MRS. OPAL CARLLSON-Vice-President REV. ROBERT A. BECKSTROM-Member MR. CARL C. BEESLEY-Member MR. ROBERT J. RIGGS--Member MR. W. H. SADLER-Member MRS. VIRGIL O. WOOD-Member Dr. Charles C. Mason, superintend- ent of Tulsa Public Schools, and Dr. Raymond W. Knight, principal of Will Rogers High School, represent many years of experience and dedica- tion, necessary to an excellent system. Both men have dedicated themselves to the improvement of learning oppor- tunities for Tulsa youth. The mark of a dedicated man is that he demonstrates enthusiasm for his beliefsf, Dr. Knight tells his stu- dents. And his belief in an excellent educa- tion for all young people has- earned him respect from students and parents as well as colleagues. In his twenty years as principal, Dr. Knight has cre- ated an atmosphere of pride for Rog- ers' traditions. He has advocated lead- ership training in the school program and upheld high scholastic standards. Dr. Charles C. Mason and the elect- ed members of the school board deal with the many problems of manage- ment, finance, and community rela- tions within the school system. A new ruling to allow flexibility of transfers within the system was initiated this year, permitting students to make use of all educational opportunities. 4 Dr. Mason and Dr. Knight confer on matters conceming students at Will on the Hill.
