OREWORD We have prepared this yearbook as an ambassador of good will, hoping that in future years it will help to recall memories of the happy hours spent inside the walls of Will Rogers High School. Among the graduates who have been our school friends we will find, in the future, people in all walks of life. No matter what their profession nor what goals they achieve, we are sure they will enjoy turning back through the pages of this book of friends and renewing old acquaintances. WAYNE SHELTON HE senior class of '41 dedicates this year's Lariat to all graduates of Will Rogers High School. Memories never to be forgotten by Will Rogers students are bound between these covers. The name Will Rogers alone gives us a strange feeling of joy and pride in our school. Add to this name the achieve- ments and experiences we have enjoyed in Will Rogers High School, and we have a rare treasure of memories for our future years. ' -CHARLES H. NEAL S we look forward to the future it has a different meaning for each of us. May Will Rogers High School and all who leave its walls for outer worlds reach a higher niche in each day of the coming years. Along whatever path your future years, may it bring success. -MARTHA TIIFFANY HROUGHOUT the year we have lived an active, happy life in Will Rogers ' High School. Daily routine, games, plays, the Round-up and other events have been included in our activities. The yearbook photographers have been on hand to make for us a record of these events so that in the future, as we look through the pages of this l94l Lariat, we will be reminded of our good times at Will Rogers. The memories connected with the pictures and snapshots of our friends will bring to us in the future the pleasant happenings of this school year. 'JOAN PRATE11 and MAIKY LOUISE WIILSON

HE first graduating class left Will Rogers High School in May, l9-40. Of these three hundred thirty graduates a large number have entered the business world while others have gone on to college to further their education. The four hundred seniors of l941, in looking toward the future, have expressed their professional ambitions. Beside their Lariat pictures are listed the professions or occupa- tional fields in which they are chiefly interested. May these graduates go forth better equipped for the coming years because of the training they have received in Will Rogers High School. I I 0 0 6 0 9 0

O the future seniors of tomorrow we, the graduating class of l94l, extend a wish for happiness and success. We hope that your years in Will Rogers High School will be as successful and enjoyable as our two years have been. Many wise and good traditions have been established by the graduating class of last year and the graduating class of this year and you, as the future graduates, have the same opportunity to establish worthwhile traditions. -KATHERINE KARNES OUND within these pages are many happy memories and the enthusiastic spirit of our school. In future years old friends can greet old friends once again by turning these leaves, which may by then be torn and faded but which will still bring back those happy, never-to-be-forgotten days when we were young. '-GLORIA STURGE E, the seniors, are preparing to climb higher rungs on the ladder of life, and step into the future of which we know nothing. As we do this we leave the underclassmen to carry on our ideas and traditions. We extend to the future graduating classes our best wishes and sincerest hopes for their success. -NATALEE BROWN S this, our last year in Will Rogers High School, draws to a close we depart- ing seniors leave with the hope that our great school will grow and become even greater in the future. To you who follow we leave the ideals and traditions we have started. We heartily wish you success. 'JANE JOHNSON
