The opposite is trueg we are prone to review our efforts with regret. We should have done much better. 4 During the compilation of this volume there were periods when we were consumed with pessimism, when we felt that in- superable obstacles barred further progress. But thanks to our many friends, both in the faculty and in the student body, and to the Sophomore Class as a whole, were were re-stimulated and continued with our efforts. ' We offer no extenuating arguments for any imperfections that may be discovered in this book. We merely ask that a reasonable and considerate attitude be assumed by the readers.
