Recognizing the potential shortage of fertilizer materials Texasgulf began sev- eral years ago to expand its Lee Creek facilities. The S23 million expansion of the acid plants announced in April, 1972 was completed on schedule for the 1974 fertilizer season. The S46 million expansion program announced in September, 1973 is well underway. These expansions will strengthen the economy of the area as well as increase the supply of fertilizer materials needed to produce food.
