Merit exams . . . a lib- eral sprinkling of diamonds among the senior girls . . . new faculty members-all bespeak the senior's year at Wilkes Central. As the smallest graduating class-approxi- mately 120 students-in Wilkes Central's his- tory, the seniors have grown more closely knit than any other class unit we can remember. Page Sirtreu They reigned with all the supremacy tradi- tionally belonging to seniors and obtained with their venerable and final position at least a small measure of dignity and an equili- brium of emotion that signifies their maturing. Looking to the future with trepidation as well as eagerness and realizing that their life at Wilkes Central was nearing an end, they savored every school event lingeringly, wanting their last year to be their best.
