5, ffl!! '- K S' :if . M -s 1967-1968 has been a time of student awakening in Canada. In part, our campus has participated in this great re-evaluation of the university community. its aims and its ideals. Plans have been drafted for a new Student Council structure. Students have studied, discussed and criticized the Booz-Allen-Hamilton report. Because of the Haggar-Taylor incident, students have openly questioned the administrations idea that it is not the student's job to question. Across Canada, university yearbook editors have also begun to look critically at what they are doing. This look has been long overdue. Some vociferous members of the student body have advocated the complete abolition of yearbooks. The reasons for this opinion are worth considering. Is too much money being spent so that each person can have an antiquated, sentiment-ridden, poorly organized book to moon over in ten years? According to a small survey taken last spring on campus, most students still expressed a desire for a book of memories. So we have a Keystone this year. A Keystone filled with things to remember and things we have learned. Yearbooks need a lot of improvement and after a year Keystone '68 staff have become aware of future possibilities. More thought and boldness must become part of the yearbook! All of us-Eve, Sue, Jane, Marcia, Doreen, Joanne, Bruce and Dave-hope you are pleased with Keystone '68 and what we have added. B. J.
