He now holds the school record for most points scored in at single game. A guard with the basketball Hawks, defending O.I.A.A. champions, Pete has nzade his presence felt. Two years ago in a ganze against the University of Windsor, he hit for 27 of 30 foul shots, tieing the North American record. MIKE McMAHON Ktop rightj was this year's Central Canadian Inter-collegiate Football Conference all-star right guard The football Hawks had a strong rushing attack this past season. Efficient blocking by the offensive linemen nzade this possible. Mike, at 5'9l' and 180 lbs. was tough enough and quick enough to consistently spring the ball carrier. All-star honours are not only a recognition of McMahon but of Coach David Knight's ability to instill in all his players pride and a winning attitude. Football, basketball, and hockey as well as many minor sports were actively supported by the student body in the year 1967. Lutheran, one of the smaller universities in the O.I.A.A., produced 'HlClfL'i77'l1lHL results. Six teams finished first and two, second. Two individuals won top honours in their respective events. The six teams: football, basketball, tennis, squash, badminton and table tennis. The two teams which finished second: hockey and volleyball. The first INTERNATIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT was held at State University College, Fredonia, N.Y. on December 1 and 2, 1967. The four participating universities, Fredonia, Genesco, McMaster and Waterloo Lutheran highlighted interna- tional involvement in sports A basketball dribblethon launched the tournament. One hundred students from both sides of the border dribbled a basketball the 175 miles from Watei'loo to Fredonia as part of the centennial celebrations for the State college. 101
