Buttonieres were sold at their Sweetheart Ball and proceeds were given to the Heart Fund. Y-Teens collected linen for the Cancer Society and received special recognition at a commu- nity tea. Affiliated with the Terre Haute Kiwanis Club the Wiley Key Club members promoted many worthwhile projects. Fourteen desks and chairs were given to the Beacon School of the Valley for cerebral palsied children. The boys sponsored Safe Driving Week, TWIRP WEEK and a Litter Bag campaign. The club furnished soft drinks for visiting teams. collected money for the United Appeal, plant- ed flowers and trees around the school buildings and purchased a new podium for the gym. At the end of the year they honored their fathers with a Lads and Dads Banquet.
