DRAMA CLUB Dramatics play an important part in any school and Wiley is no exception. The Drama Club this year held various types of programs for the benefit of the entire student body. Proceeds from these programs were used for the improvements made in the Little Thea- tre. Members of the club were often called upon to provide entertainment for Terre Haute clubs and social organizations. DEBATE CLUB The Wiley Debate Club was extremely active. Many speech trips and contests, which brought innumerable honors to VViley were included in their programs. Through this organization Wiley participated in the In- diana Student Legislature which meets bi- annually. 1

SCRIBBLERS CLUB The Scribblers Club, sponsored by Miss Strobel, met twice monthly at which time the members presented their literary efforts. Suggestions for revisions were then made by club members and the worthy contributions were placed on file to be included in the club's publication, the SCRIBRLI-zs, which is compiled and edited every two years. The purpose of the club was to increase the student's appreciation for literature and to develop his talents for self-expression. Many of the contributions from Wiley to the the NATIONAL ANTHOLOGY or HIGH SCHOOL POETRY were written by Scribblers Club members. In addition to its publication, the club's activities included sponsoring a very success- SCRIBBLERS CLUB Lei! to right: Row l: Sue Euratte, Grace Vlhitehead. VIS-ED CLUB The Vis-Ed Club, sponsored by Mr. Harry Johnson, was reorganized into a serv- ice club to provide Wiley with a more com- plete visual education program. At the be- ginning of the school year, arrangements were made for the training of projector oper- ators. Once a week, movies were shown dur- ing the home room period, and the profits from these financed the club's activities. Their schedule included upkeep of the equip- ment and rental of films. The club had the additional expense of a new vis-ed device, the flannel board which was made avail- able to the faculty for class demonstration.
