RED CROSS The Wiley Junior Red Cross. a member ot' the National Association ol' I. R. C.'s, in order to carry out its motto To serve and find material ways to help those in need . entertained an orphan from the Glenn Home at which time the child was presented Christ- mas gifts donated by Wiley homeroonis, spon- sored the sending of overseas boxes and aided the Vigo County Infirmary as an Easter pro- ject. The club enter- tained the faculty for tea in honor of Nation- al Book XVeek in November. The buying of books for the library is the main project of the organization for which proceeds of the annual mixer were used. LIBRARY ASSISTANTS Library assistants are pupils who are interested in learning library proceedures. Besides taking attendance. their work in the library includes the filing. checking in and out and straightening of books. In order to do this, one student assists the librarian each hour throughout the day. at the noon hour and before and after school. Page Thirteen
