Q05 OUR PRINCIPAL Mr Forney tudents and Friends of Wiley Yes this is Wiley Here on the south west corner oi Seventh and Walnut Streets she stand with her many gabled root her weathered ivy covered walls mature dignified tately an impressive monument to learning Within her halls and classrooms thousands of students through many decades have drunk deep from ler fountains of learning Here life partner ships have been rnade and friendship have b en formed that have grovwt tronger through the years Here students have been prepared tor active compe ent and responsible citizenship ii a democracy H r boys have responded to our country s call to arms in three war and today more than eleven hundred ot her boys and girls are in uniform. through her long history nearly nine thousand diplomas have been awarded. Boys and girls now in school here, encouraged and guided by her rich traditions, are carrying on her program ot preparation and service. These students, like those who have preceded them, will leave her richer for their having lived and Worked here: richer for the boys and gir,s, who, through future years, will comf plete their high school work here, then pass on to greater endeavors.
