Senior boys prepare the Club Seniority setting for the Freshman Day skit. 27 The enchanting night of Wildwood Catholic’s Annual Christmas Dance finds happy couples gaily dancing under the festive decorations at St. Ann’s Hall. The Rythmeers provide the musical accompaniment for this joyous occasion. THE JOYFUL ★ SEASON To spread joy and good cheer at the Christmas season, various groups of Wildwood Catholic students lend their talents to the Yuletide preparations. The Christmas season brings the long anticipated day of distribu- tion of class rings to the seniors. On this occasion, he reminds both the council and the student body of their obligations to our school and the principles for which it stands. SODALITY The four officers of the Sodality read over and discuss the material for their weekly Monday morning meet- ing in the auditorium. MUSIC FESTIVAL Wildwood Catholic's music festival, under the direction of Mr. Guglieimo Sabatini, pays tribute to Christ, to His Vicar on earth, and to the centenary commemoration of Faust” with religious and timely selections. Agnes Dei” introduces the spiritual phase of the program, after which selections from Faust” capture the audience and set the pace for the finale, in which the coronation of Pope John XXIII is honored and revered. All eyes watch the director as the Girls’ Choir gives a charming musical interpretation of a medley of Italian Songs. A highlight of our musicale, the Boys’ Choir, thrill the audience with their beautiful rendi- tion of ’’Just A Wearyin’ for You,” With a Hey and a Hi and a Ho Ho Ho!” and No Man Is an Island.” Under the direction of Mr. Guglielmo Saba- tini, VI ildwood Catholic’s Glee Club brings to a memorable close the Eleventh Annual Music Festival with the singing of ”Ecce Sacerdos” in honor of our beloved Holy Father, Pope John XXIII. Ref- erence work, reading, and dic- tionary work busy their minds even before the day’s classes com- mence. 38 CAFETERIA AND MAINTENANCE The efficient cafeteria aides at Wildwood Catholic High School take care of the student body at lunch period, breakfast during retreat, and at other functions of the school. The aides’ motto is Service with a smile.’' The cleanliness and fine appearance of our school is due in no small measure to the dedi- cated service of our custodian, Mr. Daniel Price. Our office aides take a just pride in the good order of their charge. WILDWOOD CATHOLIC GOES VISITING FORENSIC CLUB Mr. Frank Feraco, moderator of our Forensic Club, generously gives of his time and his talents to make debating an outstanding and popular extra curricu- lar activity at Wildwood Catholic. Danny McNichol strikes a typical pose” while delivering an original speech at one of the weekly rounds of the Camden Diocesan Forensic League. Danny McNichol, Eddie Reilly, Mike Herron, I.eroy Touchton, Joe Carusi, and A! Carusi set off for a scrimmage of wits” with debators from the various high schools in the Camden diocese. 42 Sammy DeGenova is rapt in thought as he prepares a rebuttal that will force the opposition to concede the victory to Wildwood Catholic. ■ Mr. Frank Matrangola, owner-manager of local radio station WCMC, adjusts the tape recorder as Anne Haffcrt records her Voice of Democracy” essay before submitting it to the county judging committee. Chief engineer Carlton Owens explains the technique to be used by the students as they prepare to take over” as- announcer and as disc jockey for their Tuesday afternoon pro- gram.
