Text from Pages 1 - 72 of the 1956 volume:

is considered purely relative. With this we of Wildwood Catholic fully agree. For, when reviewing memories of freshman antics, sophomore eagerness, junior realization, and senior appreciation, time definitely seems to be the ultimate in speed. But the future also is time and with it the satisfaction of a full life, made possible through the application of our earliest lesson—The Ten Commandments. HE IMVE It til'llII I)Ell TIME IH iiil 1 ; msrinrr presented by the seniors of WILDWOOD IITIIOlir mil SCHOOL WILDWOOD. SEW At Wildwood Catholic we are separated into small families which are known as home rooms. These are more than just places to stay before and after classes— they are the centers of life at our school, each administered by one of our Sisters, who proves to be a friend as well as advisor. On the opposite page, the home rooms are: Freshmen l-D; Freshmen 2-D; Sophomore l-C; Sophomore 2-C; Juniors. In Memorium Since its beginning, Wildwood Catholic had known as both a pastor and a dear friend, the Right Reverend Atoysius S. Quinlan, the late pastor of St. Ann's, whose death struck a sad note in the hearts of all the students and alumni of our school. Although he has been called to his eternal reward, the very bright spot Monsignor filled in our lives shall live long in all our memories. Bishop Eustace, though separated from us by many, many miles, has proved to be a friend to our school and very close to all of us. It is he who is responsible for a great deal that Wildwood Catholic is or will ever come to be. THE MOST REVEREND BARTHOLOMEW J. EUSTACE, Bishop of Camden ttiion Timv was Young TGuided ffs. J Father Crine talks to school president Charles Griffin, and vice-president Francis St. John. shall shine as stars hr all Pastor is the Latin word for shepherd and is commonly used when referring to the head of a parish. Father Crine, in the short time he has been pastor of St. Ann’s, has lived up to the literal meaning of the word. He has truly been a shepherd of his flock, watching over and protecting them and giving evidence of a whole- hearted interest in every phase of Wild- wood Catholic's life. We are most fortu- nate to have Father Crine administering our school. John Mihm (Professor Willard) What could be more challenging than a play without scenery or props? Such a challenge was undertaken by the Class of 56 when they presented Thornton Wilder's ' Our Town on October 14 and 15, 1955. Under the direction of Mrs. Donald Grimme the would-be thespians worked toward a performance that is said to be the best ever presented under Wildwood Catholic's roof. When the play was over and the cast assembled for curtain calls, they realized their hard work was not in vain.
