These Junior seamstresses are seriously intent upon the completion of their first sewing project, a serving apron for their Mother's valentine. From left to right, Rita Nestore, Mildred Dickinson, Eileen Quinn, Margaret Wurster, and Helen Turchi. The Juniors, under the direction of Jacqueline Gory and Terry Lynch, discuss the numerous ways of Honoring God's Mother. Mildred Needles stresses the influence of Our Lady in protecting our nation. Future homemakers are first introduced to home eco- nomics in their junior year. Donning crisp aprons they work with sauce pans and mixing bowls for half the year and then change to sewing classes. Here a group is shown in an after breakfast chat with Monsignor.

Salattced 'PenAMiaUty Our young scientists learn the mysteries of research work in the laboratory. They unearth science, of which they knew very little, prior to this year. In the foreground we see Laura Morton and Evelyn Kranich examining their rare specimens, while Margaret Webb and Mary Ann Crilley take notes on the discoveries they have made. The heart, being such a vital organ, deserves careful study. The Sophomore girls’ health class is engrossed in the explanation of the structure and functions of the human heart, ably pointed out by Miss Brennan, our school nurse, assisted by Nancy Ward and Evelyn Kranich. Star Geometry students, John Toy and James Leah , demonstrate their ability at the board. Sister Stanislaus Kostka is on the alert for any discrepancies that might develop. Animated faces of the class show an interest that predicts a suc- cessful career for these young men. M

Seniors eagerly compare likenesses when the much coveted pictures arrive. Facing the camera, Joseph La Motte confidently shows his picture to. Rosalie Maggio, whose calm appraisal of the photograph leaves nothing to be desired. Physics was introduced to Wildwood Catholic this year. War has stimulated a keen interest in this fascinating subject. Physics is offered to the Senior boys and girls. The picture shows Theresa Serge and Robert Scully performing an experiment on linear expansion.
