Above all, each Freshman worrles about Initiation. When the big day flnally arrived, the fat lady, the bride and groom, the baby, and all the rest scraped and bowed to the Sophomores until they reached the1r homeroom haven and safety. At night each one came to the front with knees trembling and perform ed a stunt. But when they were ly initiated and lt was time to dance, the Freshmen agreed that really the ones who had had the thorough- relax and they were most fun. alas s h C p Us J i ,V 7 4 n ' w 5' V- , ,4 ' ' 1, S r y is 'iff I g M 1 ROW 1 K Wegner, J Hanson, P Stea, L Garceau, C Clark, R. Studies aremore challenging and responsibil- ities in clubs and activities are greater. As a class, the sophomores worked together on their Homecoming float. They graciously consented to introduce the green Freshmen to Wild Rose High with a special day of initiation carried out in traditional fashion. It took concentrat- ed brainwork to figure out a zany costume for each Freshman, and the verse the initi- ates chanted as they bowed to the Sopho- mores was a poetic masterpiece. The result was a day of fun for everyone in school. 4 -X ., 1 - 'in fxA-- jf at 1 wiv' 4'-f' Initiation Committee rt no 1 J D Fiems, R 4 D v .- Rosin, S Bushweiler, C Anderson, C Norlin, C Phelps, A Wrage, M Bowen ROW 2 R. The baseball letter is awarded to boys who have played nine innings of ball. It is an honor to belong to the Letter Club because the letter a boy receives represents his skill as an athlete and the many hours of practice he puts 1n to achieve that skill The activities of the Letter Club this year included sponsoring the an nual basketball game with the alumni and the dance that followed, selling tickets on a deer rifle, and selling necessary Phy. ed.equ1pment to the boys here at school. The money that was raised through these projects was used to send the 'A' basketball squad and Senior lettermen to the State Basketball Tournament inMadison. qsull C 7 ' 'A asf . 1 E rf .
