Director MR. EMMETT O'BRlEN Division of Vocational Education State Department of Education State of Connecticut MR. CARMELO S. GRECO Meriden, Connecticut r ii e ...Wi I 'Wm . I gi l '37 ' M is ,R Director . . its H. C. Wilcox Technical School 'ww 51:2 QQ I rhfffafjlfj, , -3 , g A Message to the Graduates ln a very short time you will reach the last milestone in your educational program at the Wilcox Technical School. You will be graduating into a World full of wondrous opportunities for a better life for all men and at the same time full of strong opposing forces which could bring back the Dark Ages. lt is your destiny to play a part in determining which road the World will travel. As graduates of Wilcox Tech, you have the trade skills and technical knowledge needed to start work as advanced appren- tices in your chosen trade fields and you have the academic education needed to take your places as responsible, porticipet- ing, and contributing citizens in your com- munity. However, you are living in a rapidly evolving and ever changing culture. Tech' nical advances make obsolete today that which only yesterday was a new develop- ment. Such a changing world requires learn- ing throughout life. You are prepared for today: but, if you are wise, you will con- tinue your education on-the-job, through part-time extension programs, or at evening schools. You will continue learning to meet the needs of a changing tomorrow. It has been my pleasure to work with you and to see you develop from boys to young men ready to take your places in the adult world. I wish to extend to you' my best wishes for success and happiness as you leave Wilcox Tech. Come back to see us often. We shall always be glad to see you and to help you in any way we can.
