Girls and Boys Track Teams 1982 Girls State Track Team CLeft to Righty Valerie Link, Lisa Davis, Mary Clare Furman, Anne Marie Furman, Dana Wetherbee, Sarah Henderson, Alesia Anderson, and Neile Chesnut. NEILE CHESNUT received the title of State MVP scoring 28V2 points by taking 5th in the shot put, 3rd in dis- cus, lst in the mile, 2nd in the 880, and lst in the mile relay. MARY CLARE FURMAN also played an important role in the State Meet for the girls' team by finishing 2nd in the 100, 3rd in the 220, and lst in the 880 and 440 relays with a total of 19 points. i ll ,. ev' , VALERIE LINK alone contributed 16W points to the teams total of 85V2 by taking lst in the 120 hur- dles, lst in the 880 and 440 relays and tying for 5th in the long jump. i . 1 , ........,,- , Lisa Davis, Valerie Link, Mary Clare Furman, Dana Three ot the tour relays run in the girls division ofthe Weatherbee, and Anne Marie Furman made up the State Meet were won by Wilcox.
