We all have been known to take a day off to enjoy the weather. We never meant to get caught. Who would have thought the school would call home? The next day you get called down to the vice- principal's office. You get the usual speech and the dreaded form. The form you have to bear like a scarlet letter for the full day before your In-Mouse term. Every teacher that you hand this assignment sheet to says the same thing, What did you do to get ln-House7' You tell the tale of your demise as their mouths remain agape. Well, the day finally comes. You walk down to that hot windowless room right after the bell for first period rings. You take a seat and pray you do not die of boredom. Mr. Spadaro walks in and gives you the speech about responsibility and punishment. You receive a sheet to write a 200 word essay about why you got In-House. He leaves and the clock starts tick- ing. Minutes seem like hours. Hours seem like days and then you hear it, the bell. What? That's only the end of first period. Well this continues on for the rest of the day until that gorious 2:00 bell. At 1:59 you are posed and ready. The bell rings, you rush for the door. Ah, free at last. Andrea Morisette

Students look over information provided by a College Fair participant College Fair 's A Hit With Students m ilby's annual College Fair was held on December 17th this year. Considering its original date was snowed out, the participation by colleges was more than satisfactory. Admission officers from twenty-seven post-sec- ondary schools and five armed services were able to make the December trip. They settled them- selves in the Wilby media center, ready to answer any questions and supply any information for inter- ested and prospective students. Guidance Coun- selor Lillian Brown says, The reason college ad- ministrators are called to the high school is to allow exposure and personal conversation for stu- dents who perhaps would not have the chance at other times. Students themselves found the whole event beneficial in most respects. The only complaints were that this fair did not measure up to last year's variety. It seemed at first, most students wandered around not knowing exactly what they wanted to see and do. They were very hesitant to approach the admission officers. But after awhile they tuned in to the fact that these people were there to guide them and began responding with enthusiasm. It's a great idea, was the comment of most seniors who find themselves in their last year scrambling to make the right decisions in choos- ing colleges and careers for themselves. Others found it absolutely rewarding. On the whole, the Wibly 1986 College Fair proved a successful experience for all. janine e. mckinney Plcen. Gina Pic-He Sounds like a personal problem to me!
