KACZMAREK Modeling a few of the fashions that were popular at Wilby in '86-'87 are (clockwise from top) Ricky Vo, Kurt Sullivan, Brendan Kearney, Lilly Ferrer, Lisa D Avino and Maurice Robinson. Anything Goes! When Making A Fashion Statement ilby High s Class of '87 fashions or trends went from comfy sweats to dressy satins and ruffles, along with everything in between. Our female students had a varied wardrobe. On their more slummy days, they dressed in warm sweats (shirts and pants), stirrup pants, and long, heavy sweaters. This was the ready for bed , little girl look. On their better days, especially senior portrait day, the girls, or per- haps we should say ladies, looked stunning in their satin blouses with lace collars, silk dress- es, and skirts. Their casual, innocent side was shown with cotton blouses and skirts (with lace underslips) in the colors of khaki, peach, and antique white, and also the springy, pastel groups. The men of Wilby spiffied themselves up in heavy, graphic-design and shaker-knit sweaters, dress pants and suspenders, not to mention dress shirts and thin ties. The body-building trend came in with sweat pouring off and mus- cles mounding on our heavyweights. This brought on sweatshirts and pants, tank tops and headbands, name-brand sneakers, like Ree- boks, hikes. Filas, and Spot-Built became a must for any trendy casual outfit.
