CHRISTINE M. FARINA A solitary shovder had Wilby to himself. Just him and all that snow. Snow Days Are A Two-Sided Coin ou've been praying all night. Oh, God, please let it snow; please, please, please!'' You bound out of bed and turn on an AM station. During a BeeGees song, you move to the window to check out the snow situation. Great. You can still see your mom's car; it's not even half covered! But wait — Waterbury public and parochial schools, CLOSED. Yes! No school! Another five hours of uninterrupted sleep. You wake up around eleven o'clock and think about getting out of bed, but decide against it. If you show your face in the kitchen Dad'll send you out with a shovel and a warning to not come back until you've cleared the entire block! So you lay in bed until you hear someone else shoveling your sidewalk, then nap for another hour. When you finally come out of hibernation, you make lunch and start catching up on your soap operas or you get hooked on Wheel of Fortune You vegetate on the couch with a bag of chips until — Oh no. Mom has that familiar look in her eye — it's too late to hide. You know what that look means , it's small project time! Eek!
