TRIBUTE Warm, gentle, friendly, compassionate. These attributes come to mind when one thinks of our recently retired principal, Mr. Domenic Co- riello. As Teacher, Counselor, Assistant Princi- pal, and Principal he dealt effectively with stu- dents on all academic levels. A man who could always be depended upon for a fair decision, a friendly word, or sound advice, he earned the affection of those he dealt with. For being such a fine man and able adminis- trator, we the class of 1983 wish to pay Mr. Coviello tribute. 5

DEDICATION We would like to congratulate Mrs. Antoi- nette Barber and Mr. William LaVallee on their being chosen the recipients of the dedica- tion of the 1983 yearbook. Their dedication and determination these past two years has enabled us to have a more enjoy- able and less expensive senior year. We are very fortunate to have had two such wonderful and caring people advise us through two very hectic years. We find it difficult to fully express our appreciation for all that these two special people have successfully accomplished for the Class of 1983. We thank you both very much for every- thing. Our sophomore year was easier, but a bit less adventurous, for we had settled down with our new friends and the daily routine of classes. Many seniors had to make a special trip to the Post Office when the draft was reinstated by newly elected President, Ronald Reagan. Shortly before the Winter Olympic games, Afghanistan was invaded by the Soviet Union. This fact made the stirring victory of our hockey team over the Soviets at Lake Placid all the sweeter. The entire world grieved when ex-Beatle John Lennon was shot down in New York. The mur- 6
