SENIORS BEING A SENIOR Being a senior can be exciting as well as frightening. Exciting to know a whole new life is about to begin. Frightening because of fear of the unexpected, being on your own. It’s a time for ends and new beginnings. When a sense of pride begins knowing you have accomplished something in life. There is a sense of happiness but also sadness. You’re happy because you had met people who have become your best friends, but sad you may not see them again. When a sense of insecurity arises knowing that up to this time you had your parents guiding your life. But now the decisions will be your own, and wondering if you have made the right one haunts you. You may decide to go to college, join the Armed Forces, or just look for a job but it’s going to be tough. The name of the game is “Survival.” r
