MR. JOSEPH MEMBRINO Principal Mr. Membrino has devoted the past forty-four years of his life to the education of the high school students of Watcrbury. His.dedication and unselfish sacrifices have been responsible for many improvements which have developed in our school system. After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Boston University and Master’s degree at Yale, he began his active role in education. Being an alumnus of Wilby, he felt that this would be the ideal place to fulfill his lifetime ambition. We, the Class of 1970, wish to thank Mr. Membrino for all he has done to guide us in our educational pursuits and wish him great success in the future.

VICE PRINCIPALS MR. DOMENIC COVIELLO Mr. Domenic Covicllo was born and raised in Waterbury. He received his primary education at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. He then went on to the University of Hartford, where he received his Masters De- gree. Mr. Covicllo was an instructor in Mathematics at UConn for two years. For the past four years Mr. Covicllo has been a guidance counselor at Wilby. He became Vice-Principal this year through the Civil Service Commission. We, the Class of ’70, wish him well in his new position. He is an asset to the school. MR. PHILIP LBONARDI Mr. Philip Leonardi, a native of Water- bury, graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He then attended Providence Col- lege. From there he went on to the Univer- sity of Hartford where he received his Mas- ters Degree. He has participated in Institutes of Italian at Central Connecticut, and a member of Afro-American studies group at Cornell University. In 1966-67 he received a fellowship in Italian at the University of Catania. He was then granted a sabbatical leave from Waterbury. Mr. Leonardi is truly a dedicated man, and we the Class of ’70, wish him all the luck in the future. 6
