MR. THEODORE DONAHUE Vice-Principal Mr. Donahue has been more than the Vice-Principal of Wilby to the Class of 69”. He has also been a friend and a person very much interested in each and every student. His face is familiar not only in the halls of Wilby but also at many extra-curricular events. Many a student has been and will be guided to the path of becoming a good and responsible adult with his aid and understanding. As a native of Waterbury, Mr. Donahue attended Sacred Heart High School. Follow- ing graduation, he attended Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and later joined the Medical Service Corp of the Army where he was stationed in Korea and Japan. He later attended Fairfield University and received his Masters and also an Advanced Cer- tificate. He has taken post graduate courses at Southern Connecticut State College and Western Connecticut State College. In 1955, Mr. Donahue began his teaching career at Driggs Grammar School where he taught for two years. He then came to Wilby and taught English I, II and III and also History, until March 20, 1967 when he succeeded the late Mr. Ambrose Egan as the Vice-Principal of our school. 1 am very much impressed with the Class of 69”, most especially by the seniors who have demonstrated so much leadership on the Student Council, which has given a real lift to the school spirit. And I feel that most seniors will do very well after graduation”, said Mr. Donahue. Thank you, Mr. Donahue, for your help and kindness throughout the past years. The class of 69” wishes you every happiness and success in the future.
