MR. JOSEPH MEMBRINO Principal Mr. Membrino has devoted the past forty-two years of his life to the education of the high school students of Waterbury. His dedication and unselfish sacrifices have been responsible for many improvements which have developed in our school system. After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Boston University and Master’s Degree at Yale, he began his active role in education. Being an alumnus of Wilby, he felt that this would be the ideal place to begin his lifetime ambition. We the Class of 1968 wish to thank Mr. Membrino for all he has done to guide us in our edu- cational pursuits and wish him success in the future.

DEDICATION We the class of 1968 wish to thank Miss Mary Schmidt for her sendee and guidance through the years, by dedicating this yearbook to her. Miss Schmidt, a native of Water- bury, has been in the field of teaching since 1938. After teaching in Lensington and Crosby High School, Miss Schmidt came to her alma mater, Wilby, where she now teaches German. Miss Schmidt has taught many subjects including typing, shorthand, bookkeeping, World History and English, but pre- fers to teach German. Having graduated from the College of New Rochelle she did graduate work at Yale and the University of Southern Illinois. Then she spent several summers in Germany and traveled extensively throughout Europe. So we the class of 68 say thank you and wish her success in the future.

Vice Principal Mr. Donahue, probably more than anyone else, has had more to do with the outcome of the Wilby student body. As chief enforcer around the halls of Wilby, students tend to consider him as an opposing force. He deserves all, if not more, of the thanks of every graduation senior in the class of 1968. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School here in Waterbury, he attended Fairfield University where he received his Bachelor and Master s Degrees. He took post graduate courses at Southern Connecticut State College, Catholic University, and Dan- bury State College. We the class of 1968 wish to thank Mr. Donahue for all he has done for our class and wish him a continued and happy career as our esteemed vice-principal. MR. THEODORE DONAHUE
