MR. AMBROSE EGAN VICE PRINCIPAL Mr. Egan, who kept us out of many difficulties during these past four years here at Wilby, de- serves all, if not more, of the thanks of every graduating senior in the class of 1967. Although, he retired in the middle of the year, his helpful- ness, understanding and good will will long remain in our minds and our hearts. Now, as upperclassmen, we see that being the head of discipline at Wilby and in every other high school is not the easiest job to undertake. Mr. Egan has fulfilled his position well and be- cause of this has found himself the friend of an- other graduating class. THE CLASS OF 1967! THANK YOU, MR. EGAN! MR. THEODORE DONAHUE VICE PRINCIPAL Mr. Donahue took over the difficult job of Vice Principal on March 20, 1967 after the retirement of Mr. Ambrose Egan and we wish him success in his new capacity. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School here in Waterbury, he attended Fairfield Univer- sity where he received his Bachelor and Masters Degrees. He took post graduate courses at Southern Connecticut State College, Catholic University, and Danbury State College. From 1952 to 1954 Mr. Donahue served in the U.S. Army and taught in Korea. He taught for two years in Driggs School and before becoming Vice Principal he had been the Junior and Senior Class Advisor, moderator of the Press Club, and he taught English I,II,III. We’re sure that Mr. Donahue will be a fine Vice Principal and hope he has the best of luck in the future. 5

MR. JOSEPH MEMBRINO-PRINCIPAL Mr. Membrino has devoted 41 years of his life to the education of the high school students of W aterbury. After receiving his Bachelor of Business Ad- ministration degree at Boston University and Master’s Degree at Yale, he began his active role in education. Being an alumnus of Wilby, he felt that this would be the ideal place to begin his lifetime ambition. Thus—for the past seven years he has served as Principal of Wilby High School. We the Class of 1967 wish to thank Mr. Mem- brino for all he has done to guide us in our edu- cational pursuits and wish him much success in the future. 4
