MR. JOSEPH MEMBRINO—Principal Mr. Membrino has devoted 40 years of his life to the education of the high school students of Waterbury. After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Boston University and Masters Degree at Yale, he began his active role in education. Being an alumnus of Wilby, he felt that this would be the ideal place to begin his lifetime ambition Thus—for the past six years he has served as Principal of Wilby High School. We the Class of 1966, wish to thank Mr. Membrino for all he has done to guide us in our educational pursuits and wish him much success in the future. 4

DEDICATION For a number of years many devoted teachers have given all their efforts to the Wilby student body. This year, it is an honor to acknowledge a deeply dedicated teacher who is quite familiar to all—Miss Helen Healey. Miss Healey came to Wilby in 1928 as a business mathematics teacher. With the generalization of the Waterbury Public School System, Miss Healey was named head of the Wilby Mathematics Department. She has been, and still is, the only person ever to occupy this position. Miss Healey attended St. Mary's Grammar School and Crosby High School. She graduated from St. Elizabeth’s Academy and St. Elizabeth's College in New Jersey. She also did graduate work at Columbia University. After graduation she taught in Ohio at the Brown Country School of the Ursulines. During her vacations Miss Healey has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Miss Healey is one of the most accomplished teachers that Wilby is proud to call her own. Thus we, the Class of 1966, hereby dedicate our Yearbook to this truly devoted teacher.
