Pip” is one of Wilby’s little girls, but that doesn’t prevent her from being active. Besides reading, she enjoys skat- ing, swimming, and bowling. After graduation she plans to attend a school of journalism. JAMES CLIFFORD ARCHAMBAULT Jim Archie May 2, 1942 Judah Frisbie Activities: Spanish Club, Vice-Presi- dent, Chemistry Club IV. Jim is very quiet, and very smart. He is a nice person to know, and someone who can be relied on. Jim plans to at- tend the University of Connecticut, and study Engineering. ANDREW JOSEPH ASCIONE Stosh June 3, 1941 Webster Stosh attended Crosby for two years and then came to Wilby. We were glad to see him. We all wish him the best of luck in whatever he does in the future. THEODORE A. ANGELONE September 25, 1941 Frisbie Teddy is a friendly, industrious boy who attended Crosby for two years be- fore coming to Wilby. We wish him success in his commercial art or music studies. The Armed Forces will be lucky to get him too. 11

Lorry is a quiet girl with a pleasing personality, and with these qualities, as well as her ability to type, we are sure that she will be an outstanding sec- retary. In her spare time Lorry can be found on the golf course or at a nearby bowling alley. MARY ANN AKUMBAK Marty” May 27, 1942 Sprague Activities: CYO, Member of Y.W.C.A. 1, 2, Wilby cheer leader 1. Marty has gained many friends in her four years at Wilby. Her main in- terests are swimming, painting, and skating. In the future we may bump into her on an airplane trip, because she plans to attend The National School of Aeronautics to become an air- line stewardess. Her pet peeve” is cracking gum. LYNDA MAE ADAMEK Lynn” July 28, 1942 Judah Frisbie Activities: Wilby Balance Sheet III, Banking Representative III, IV. Atheletic Lynda’s hearty laugh has brought her many friends. She can most often be seen racing to Mr. Alexander’s closet to hang up her coat. CHRISTOPHER W. ALLEN Chris October 19, 1942 Prospect Activities: German Club II, Chess Club II, III, IV, Chemistry Club IV. Chris has a wide variety of interests, and is remarkably intellectual. He speaks his mind, and is never at a loss for words. Chris is sure to be a success at anything he attempts. 10 CATHERINE ANN ADAMS Cathy July 11, 1942 Lee County Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3, 4, New Homemakers of America 1, 2, Dramatic Club 4, Dance Club 3, 4. Making people laugh is one of Cathy’s special traits. You may find her engrossed in some book or cooling off at the beach. After graduation, Cathy plans to serve her country in a branch of the armed forces. Her pet peeve is back scat drivers. Cathy’s favorite subject is shorthand. CARMELA E. AMATO Birthdate July 15, 1942 Sacred Heart Carmela attended Sacred Heart High school two years before coming to our alma-mater. We were all glad to see her brighten up our school. She plans to become a secretary and we know she will succeed.

LORETTA HOPE ATWOOD, Hopie” July 11, 1942 Washington Activities: Inter-City High School Band 1. 2, 3, 4, Member of the Girl Scouts 10 years, United Fund worker, Member of Class Book Staff. Hopie’s interests include dancing, reading, and participating in out-door sports. She feels that she has gained a great deal of valuable knowledge at Wilby. After graduation, Hopie plans to become a telephone operator. Her pet peeve” is Naggers. RONALD T. AURIO Ronnie” March 7, 1941 St. Margaret’s Activities: Member of Hi-Y at the Y.M.C.A. 1, 2, CYO 1, 2. Ronnies main interest is tinkering with cars. After graduation, he has decided to enter the Army. His pet peeve” is woman drivers who do not know how to use the signal lights. Ronnie’s favorite subject is U.S. History. FRANK CHARLES BACHMAN, JR. Buddy” May 21, 1942 Frisbie Activities: Football Team, Chemistry Club IV, Dramatics Club IV, Class Book Staff IV, C.Y.O. Basketball. Frank is a very quiet, but alert person. He participates in a number of sports, and is good in the majority of them. Frank is one of Wilby’s most courteous boys. ANTHONY JAMES BARBIERI Tony” April 14, 1942 Hendricken Activities: Member of second year Italian Club. Sometimes serious and sometimes happy-go-lucky can best describe Tony. He has no particular hobbies, but he enjoys many. His plans after graduation are undecided, but whatever they are we know he will succeed. ALAN BRUCE BARKER Al” September 1, 1942 Memorial Activities: Band, Projectionist Club. Al is one of Wilby’s quieter boys. He enjoys skiing and joy-riding.” Al plans to go to college after graduation. ROBERT W. BAILEY Beetle” February 1, 1943 Memorial Activities: Chemistry Club, Projection Club, Ski Club Nava, U.S. Eastern Amateur Ski Assoc., Pilgrim Fellow- ship, Dramatics Club. Beetle” is a good-natured, fun-loving fellow who enjoys skin diving and ski- ing. He’d probably spend all his time skiing if he could. After graduation Beetle” plans to attend college.
