Hunting and fishing are tops among his extra-curricular activities. He intends, first, to go to college and then to become a store or office manager, or a buyer. BESSIE KELLY Bess January 10, 1937 Walsh Red Cross Rep. 3; Spanish Club 4; Latin Club 2; Chemistry Club 4 Bessie's friendly smile and cheerful personality, known by everyone, will cer- tainly help her to achieve her ambition of becoming a nurse. Her hobbies are reading, listening to records, and going to the movies. We feel she will make any patient well again. MARY KLEPATSKY July 19, 1935 Slocum As a pastime, Mary enjoys reading, watching television, going to movies, and listening to records. She reveled in watching the '53 Basketball Tournament. As an accountant, Mary intends to put to use the business training she has gained in Wilby. LINWOOD RUSSELL KNOX Midget July 17,1937 Howland High School, Maine What first impressed him when he came from Howland, Maine, Knox says, is the school spirit here. After graduation he plans to enter some branch of the armed forces. JANE ALMA KRUSE Jan July 8, 1936 Shepardson Dance Club 1, 2; Spanish Club 3 Jane comes from Middlebury, where she enjoys horseback riding, swimming, and roller skating. She is a baseball fan, and has been a member of the Corp. Coyle Drum Corps. She is headed for the secretarial field.

He likes the outdoors, and when he graduates, plans to become an agriculturist. RICHARD IERARDI Sam March 9, 1935 Walsh Italian Club I; Football 3; Co-Captain Football 4; Basketball 1, 2, 3; Captain Basketball 4; Baseball 3,4 Sam boasts a quiet, friendly nature which reveals a broad sense of humor. An avid sports fan, he was captain of the basketball and co-captain of the football teams. For outside activities hunting and fishing appeal to him. He has not yet decided on what he will do next year. JACQUELINE VIRGINIA JANNETTY JACKY July 18, 1936 B. W. Tinker Spanish Club 4; Chemistry Club 4 Small, but full of pep, no matter where she may be, Jacky can arouse a feeling of enthusiasm in those around her. Her hobbies include sketching, dancing, and fencing. Interested in science, she is studying for the work of laboratory technician. CATHERINE ANN JAY Cathy July 25, 1936 Catholic High From Committee 3 Arriving from Catholic High, Cathy immediately won many friends. Her chief enjoyment is ice skating, but she likes dancing and roller skating. With her ability, Cathy should make a fine comptometer operator. BARBARA ANN KALLAS Bobbie August 30, 1936 Crosby Three little words describe Bobbie, small, cute, and quiet. Her interests are far from small, with roller and ice skating, football, and perhaps basketball among them. Someday perhaps a magazine cover may show her in a skating costume, for she plans to enter the modeling field after graduation. 28

She enjoys bowling, skating, swimming, as well as school activities here. FREDERICK LACHANCE Lefty June 12, 1935 Driggs Basketball 3, 4; Baseball 3, 4 Fred, to his friends, Lefty, enjoys all sports, but likes best swimming, basketball, and baseball. Lefty, upon graduation from Wilby, intends to go to college. LILLIAN LANO Irma June 17, 1936 Maloney D.E. Club 4 Lillian's interests at Wilby are mostly with Distributive Education. In senior year, she was both state delegate and chairman of the Ways and Means Com- mittee for the club. She plans to become a telephone operator. M. PATRICIA LANOUETTE Pat March 17, 1936 Alcott (Wolcott) Latin Club 2; Chemistry Club 3; Balance Sheet 3, 4; Room Leader 4 That “actions speak louder than words Pat has proved, because, although quiet and reserved, she is one of our honor students, is on the editorial staff of the Balance Sheet, and takes part in many other school activities. Her patience and willingness to help others will greatly aid her in her career, physical therapy. JOAN MARY LaPLANTE Jou Jou January 16, 1937 Chase Joan would like to do a great deal of traveling and sightseeing. In between times she hopes to work as a secretary. 30
