Her warm personality and sense of humor have gained her inany friends. Maureen plans in the future to become a secretary. HILDA ROSE HOFFMANN October 6,1936 Kingsbury Latin Club 2 Hilda is a rather quiet girl in Wilby, but don't let her fool you. She has gained many friends with her likable personality. Her hobbies include swimming, ice skating, and playing the piano. Best of luck, Hilda, in your career as a secretary. RICHARD HOGAN Dick August 1,1936 Crosby President Key Club 4; Football 4 Happy-go-lucky Dick hails from Crosby originally. He plans to be an accountant. JACKLYN ANN HOWE Jackie October 30,1936 Russell Room Rep. 2, 3; Public Speaking Club 3; Classbook Jackie, an active Wilbyite, is very popular. Her interests center around sports, including swimming, skating, and hiking. Jackie should make a very capable stenographer. BARBARA JEAN HUDSON Bobbie December 31, 1936 Driggs Spanish Club 3; La Voz 3; Chemistry Club 4; Glee Club 4 The physical education field will have a vivacious and conscientious asset when Barbara graduates. She is fond of all sports, but basketball is her favorite. She is also classically inclined, likes to sing, and takes time out from her sports activities to enjoy reading Shakespeare. 27

Her favorite pastimes include collecting movie-star pictures, sports, dancing, reading, and listening to Johnnie Ray. She is one of Mr. Emotion’s most faithful fans. Club 4 At Wilby, Cindy has made many friends with her well-known sense of humor. She is happiest when she is dancing or roller skating. Like many a Wilbyite, she plans to become a secretary. CATHERINE MARY GRIFFEN Kitty June 2,1935 Merriman D.E. Club 4 Catherine is fond of art, but prefers that popular choice of many Wilby girls, the secretarial field, for future work. NANCY THERESA GRIFFIN December 13, 1936 Hendricken Spanish Club 3; Room Rep. 1; Balance Sheet Rep. 2, 3, 4 Nancy, one of our quiet seniors, is well liked by all her classmates because of her willingness to lend a hand to those who need it. She is quite fond of sewing, dancing, and swimming. Nancy’s ambition is to be a teacher. JACQUELINE JANE HAMON Jackie January 31,1936 Hendricken Dance Club 1. 2. 3; D.E. He likes the outdoors, and when he graduates, plans to become an agriculturist. RICHARD IERARDI Sam March 9, 1935 Walsh Italian Club I; Football 3; Co-Captain Football 4; Basketball 1, 2, 3; Captain Basketball 4; Baseball 3,4 Sam boasts a quiet, friendly nature which reveals a broad sense of humor. An avid sports fan, he was captain of the basketball and co-captain of the football teams. For outside activities hunting and fishing appeal to him. Tinker Spanish Club 4; Chemistry Club 4 Small, but full of pep, no matter where she may be, Jacky can arouse a feeling of enthusiasm in those around her. Her hobbies include sketching, dancing, and fencing. Interested in science, she is studying for the work of laboratory technician. CATHERINE ANN JAY Cathy July 25, 1936 Catholic High From Committee 3 Arriving from Catholic High, Cathy immediately won many friends. Her chief enjoyment is ice skating, but she likes dancing and roller skating. With her ability, Cathy should make a fine comptometer operator. BARBARA ANN KALLAS Bobbie August 30, 1936 Crosby Three little words describe Bobbie, small, cute, and quiet. Her interests are far from small, with roller and ice skating, football, and perhaps basketball among them. Someday perhaps a magazine cover may show her in a skating costume, for she plans to enter the modeling field after graduation. 28
