MARY LORRAINE FORD January 1, 1935 Leavenworth Dance Club 2; Spanish Club 4 Mary hails from Middlebury, and tried Leavenworth High before coming to Wilby. She is planning to enter the field of designing. JOAN CONSTANCE FRANKS JOANIE April 15, 1935 Walsh Latin Club 2; Chemistry Club 4; Spanish Club 4 School activities in the Latin and the Chemistry Clubs have claimed much of Joan’s interest, but vie with sewing, reading, playing basketball, and baseball outside of school. She has won many friends with her pleasing personality. Next year, she hopes to enter college, studying to be a dietitian. FRANCIS GALASSO Frank March 27, 1936 Slocum Key Club 4 Bowling, dancing, hunting, and swimming are a few activities that Frank enjoys. His pleasant personality and friendliness will be two of his greatest assets when he sets out to achieve his ambition, to be a certified public accountant. CONCETTA MARIE GASS Teena June 17, 1936 Sprague Teena likes sports, including tennis and golf. She hopes to work later in a women’s specialty shop. COLETTE LOIS GEMINO February 5,1936 Bunker Hill Glee Club 1,2,3 A pleasant smile and a friendly personality are two of Colette's outstanding characteristics. She enjoys writing, dancing, and entertaining, but especially singing, for she is a talented singer, and has been very active in the Wilby Glee Club. Her interest in church work tells her that she would some day like to enter the social service field. 24

THOMAS JAMES FARRELL Tommy January 9, 1937 Hopeville Tommy spends most of his spare time out of doors, swimming, hunting, and fishing. He says that Wilby has helped in teaching him to get things done right. He plans to help others follow this principle by becoming a state trooper. CATHERINE AGNES FEEST Cathy May 8,1936 Woodrow Wilson Swimming Club 1, 2; Bookkeeping Club 2; Balance Sheet Rep. 2; Room Leader 1,2 Cathy, a rather quiet girl with a soft-spoken manner and a friendly smile for all, has an ability to make friends and to keep them. Outdoor sports, art, music, traveling, and church work are among the many varied interests of Cathy, who hopes to be a beautician and hair stylist after graduation. ANTHONY JOSEPH FERRARO Tony January 30, 1935 Washington Dance Club 1, 2,3; Football 1,2,3, 4; Pres. D.E. Club 4 One of the most popular boys at Wilby is Tony. A member of the football team for four years, he has hopes of becoming a physical education instructor. Of all his special interests music is on the top. ROBERTA MARIE FICETO Bert October 12,1936 St. Joseph’s Ways and Means Committee 4; Italian Club 4; Balance Sheet Rep. 4 One of our more vivacious girls, Bert is very fond of sports, and takes time out to attend many sports events. In an English class you might hear her reciting Shakespeare or at a Wilby game loudly singing the school praises. Her goal is to make some business man a good secretary. JULIA MARIE FONTI JULE April 10, 1936 . Washington Italian Club 3; Vice-President Italian Club 4 A cheerful smile, a fun-loving spirit, and a humorous twinkle all go to make up popular Julia. Among her various interests are dancing, roller-skating, reading, and listening to records. Jule's ambition is to be a good secretary; her enthu- siasm will certainly be an asset. 23

As a hobby she collects records by Joni James, but her main aspiration is to be a hair- dresser. Popular and fun loving, she likes all sports, but basketball is tops with this cheerleader. ANNA MARY GENOVA Annie May 3,1936 B. W. Tinker Spanish Club 4; Balance Sheet Rep. 1,2 Annie’s friendly smile and personality to match have won many friends in Wilby. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, bowling, and collecting records. Her ambition is to be a secretary. JOSEPH EMANUAL GIARRATONA Joe June 20, 1936 Merriman Baseball 1; Italian Club 3, 4 Joe's friendly personality and warm smile have won him many friends. They may help him reach his goal, a useful one, as a state policeman. THOMAS JOSEPH GILHOOLEY Gid February 6, 1935 SS. Peter Paul Baseball Team 1,2,3, 4; Public Speaking Club 4 Gid is one of the sports-minded type, with the ability to play a good game. He likes all types of sports but specializes in baseball. CAROL JOAN GOUGH January 23, 1937 Washington Red Cross Rep. 1; Latin Club 2; Classbook A friendly smile and personality to match can best describe Carol, who has many friends. Her hobbies are collecting records by Eddie Fisher, dancing, skating, and bowling. We wish her success in her chosen work as secretary. 25
