Her hobbies are bowling and dancing, while her ambition is to be a telephone operator. We wish her luck. ANTOINETTE SANDRA DE MELIS Toni August 25, 1937 Hendricken Balance Sheet Rep. 1 A very talkative, friendly, and happy-go-lucky girl—that’s Toni. Reading, swimming, dancing are some of her favorite pastimes. We hope she will make her goal as a secretary. PAUL AMBROSE DE SENA August 31, 1936 Woodrow Wilson Football 4; Public Speaking Cltib 4; Key Club 4 Paul is one of those fellows with a ready smile and pleasing personality. His many interests, football, baseball, skiing, and many other sports, should make him one of the healthiest accountants in years to come. NANCY DEMIRS Nan April 30,1936 Manchester Central High This well-dressed and quiet brunette came to us from Manchester, New Hamp- shire, where she was outstanding in sports, the Secretarial Club, and on the Student Council. This background and her friendly manner will help her achieve her ambition to be a secretary. LORRAINE DESSEREAU Dezzy September 7, 1934 Anderson Dance Club 1 Though one of the quieter girls, Dezzy has a wonderful sense of humor and a quick smile, which have tallied up many friends and good times for her here at Wilby. Like that of many another Wilby girl, her ambition is to become a secretary after graduation. 20

BEULAH CRAWFORD November 15, 1935 Central High Bridgeport Good Cheer Committee 3; Red Cross Rep. 3, 4 A ready helping hand is shown in Beulah's willingness to serve on Red Cross and Good Cheer committees. She is certainly well suited to the career she has chosen, that of nursing; with her cheery and kind manner and spirit of fun she is sure to help her patients toward recovery. ROGER H. CULLEN April 20, 1936 Humiston Roger, a gun enthusiast from Cheshire, is interested in country sports, hunting and fishing. He also likes working with drugs and medicines, and plans some- day to serve his community as a pharmacist. LOIS ELAINE CUMMINGS Lo December 8, 1936 Slocum Secretary of Spanish Club 3 Sparkling eyes, pleasant smile, and winning personality help to make Lo very popular. She was voted Miss Shamrock in her Junior year. Let’s give her an imaginary shamrock for luck in her chosen profession of hairdressing. KATHERINE ETHEL DADDONA Kitty February 18, 1936 St. Thomas' Spanish Club 3 One of the friendliest girls in Wilby, with her bright smile and wonderful sense of humor, Kitty has racked up” many a friend. She is an avid bowler and tennis player, and goes out for all types of sports. We wish her success in her ambition to be a good secretary. SHIRLEY JUNE DEAL Shirl August 18, 1936 Driggs Swimming Club 1; Dance Club 2; Glee Club 4 If you hear footsteps in the hall at the 8 o'clock bell—that’s Shirl! Her ready smile, and carefree, casual ways have gained her much popularity. Her ambi- tion is to be a librarian. 19

Trying to paint and sketch, she says, are her main interests, not to mention swimming, reading, sports, and collecting popular records. Ann plans to be a secretary. EVA MARGARET PEARL DORAN Eve December 8, 1935 Crosby Red Cross 3; Latin Club 3 Eva transferred to Wilby in sophomore year, probably because she decided on the secretarial field for her work after graduation. PATRICIA AGNES DOYLE Pat December 27,1936 Prospect Community Spanish Club 3 Pat has been well-known in Wilby, where, with her good sense of humor, she has won many friends. Cooking and skating are among her pastimes. She is looking forward to being a receptionist for a dentist. RITA ANN DOYON Ritz March 21,1936 St. Ann's Balance Sheet Rep. 1, 3; Room Rep. 4 This French Miss, known to most of her friends as Ritz, has a ready smile, a good-natured manner, and a cheerful personality. Dancing, roller skating, swimming, and listening to records, are her main interests. Her ambition is to become a good secretary. 21
