DONALD D. CIANCIOLO Pepsi September 27, 1936 Washington Italian Club 2,3, 4 Donald, better known as Pepsi, is a quiet chap with pleasing dimples. His special interest is mechanics. Donald's ambition is to become an executive. MARGARET ANN CIANCIOLO Margie November 27,1936 Anderson Italian Club 3, 4 Margie’s quiet manner has won her many friends at Wilby. She enjoys swim- ming, skating, sewing, and cooking, and is a fan for football, basketball, and baseball. Her ambition is to become an accountant. ROSE MARY CIARAMELLA Chicky February 17, 1936 Bunker Hill With her cheery smile and good humor Chicky has acquired many friends at Wilby. Her hobbies are roller skating and square dancing. In a few years she hopes to be designing some of the women’s latest fashions. ELAINE JEAN COCCHIOLA Lainey April 2, 1936 Hendricken Dance Club 1; Swimming Club 1; Classbook Petite, vivacious Elaine aspires to have her own dancing studio. Because she is sincere, fun-loving, and a good sport, her host of friends at Wilby will not soon forget her. Besides active sports, Elaine enjoys reading. Assets, such as a definite dancing ability and charm, will help her to make her mark in the dancing profession. GAIL FRANCES COGSWELL August 14, 1936 Hendricken Dance Club 1; Glee Club 1; Literary Editor, Classbook Miss Secretary,” captivating, efficient, and dependable, has participated in many clubs and been on many committees at Wilby. She enjoys bowling, danc- ing, sewing, and skating. Eating in quaint and unusual restaurants especially interests her. Gail has acquired many friends here. She is headed toward success. 17

HELEN CHRISTINE CARLSON Chris March 17, 1936 Bunker Hill Latin Club 2; President Junior Red Cross 3 Chairman of Volunteers Jr. Red Cross 4; Spanish Club 4; Chemistry Club 4 With a twinkle in her eye, a friendly smile, and good humor, Chris has won many hearts at Wilby. She can sew and skate skillfully. With her sincere friendliness and desire to aid others, she has a sure ticket to success as a woman in white. MELODY ROSALIE CARLSON Mel February 19,1936 Barnard Swimming Club 1; Dance Club 1, 2 Working in the cafe has been Mel’s duty for three years in Wilby. An ardent sports fan, she enjoys horseback riding, swimming, and ice skating. Her great fondness for animals, should help her to go places” as a veterinarian. THERESA ANN CARPENTIER Terry April 20,1936 Woodrow Wilson Latin Club 2; Dance Club 1; Italian Club 4; Chemistry Club 4 Vim and vigor are her characteristics. She is a whiz at bowling and drawing and has saved many a Wilby student by patching up his art work. Tiny as she is, Terry gets things done. In later years she will be found scurrying up and down St. Mary’s corridors administering to her patients, who will certainly love her. SHIRLEY ANN CHAPMAN Shirl September 23, 1936 Prospect Community Red Cross Rep. 3, 4; Spanish Club 4 A ready smile and a good nature make up Shirks personality. Painting, sketch- ing, walking, ice skating, and swimming take up most of her spare time. Her future includes a career as secretary, where we feel that she can’t miss. MARLENE ANN CHURCHILL Church May 8, 1935 Naugatuck High Marlene came to Wilby in her sophomore year. Her warm Texas smile has won her many friends here. Although Church is interested in art, she plans some day to be a model. 16

FRED LOUIS COHEN Mush Driggs July 24,1936 Spanish Club 4; Red Cross 3, 4; Vice-President Red Cross 3 Fred is full of fun and very popular. His many interests include baseball, bas- ketball, bowling, and dancing. He plans to be a C.P.A. after graduation, so look out, girls who plan to be bookkeepers. NANCY ANN CONNORS Nan April 13,1936 SS. Peter Paul Spanish Club 3 Nan has a friendly manner and a sunny disposition. Among her activities tennis, swimming, and dancing are her favorites. She will always remember the fun she had in the Spanish Club. After graduation she plans to become a secretary. CLAUDETTE CECILE COTE February 25,1937 St. Ann’s Spanish Club 3 Claudette's genial manner and ready smile have won the friendship of her classmates. Her main interests are dancing and knitting argyles. Claudette hopes to take up secretarial work after completing her schooling here. BEATRICE JUDITH COVIELLO Bea January 23, 1937 Webster Spanish Club 3; High School Hi-Lights 3; Classbook Bea, a quiet and very likable person, is the possessor of a contagious smile and a personality that just won’t let you forget her. Her favorite pastimes include swimming and skating, sports at which she is adept. With her dependability and efficiency she is headed toward success in her chosen career, secretarial work. LUCILLE M. COVIELLO Lulu February 9,1936 Crosby High Dance Club 3; Glee Club 4; Spanish Club 4 Lucille, who came to Wilby in her junior year, is very likable because of her happy-go-lucky manner. Among her special interests she enjoys singing and dancing best. For the future, Lulu has her eye on a career as a singer. 18
