The medical-secretarial field will be gaining a dependable girl when she graduates in June. PATRICIA MARY ADAMS Pat December 15, 1936 St. Joseph’s Although Pat has prepared herself for the secretarial field, she does not intend to confine herself to that type of work; she wants to be a housewife someday. Swimming, ice skating, baseball, and dancing are favorite sports with her. Pat also is interested in that sure way to a man’s heart—cooking. HELEN AHERAS April 26,1935 Maloney Helen’s biggest thrills in Wilby were the winning of the State Championship, in 1953, and the Wilby Christmas assemblies. She hopes to enter the secre- tarial field. NANCY RUTH AKINS Nance March 4,1936 Barnard Spanish Club 3; LaVoz 3 Nancy has maintained a high scholastic rating, and at the same time shown an interest in sports. Her ambition is to become a secretary and a housewife; in the opinion of those who know her, she will combine the two very well. HELEN JO ANN ALEKSINAS July 9, 1936 St. Joseph's Balance Sheet Rep. 3, 4 Helen is quiet but has a sparkling sense of humor and a cheery personality. She likes to collect coins and souvenirs from foreign lands. Helen plans to enter the nursing field, as a trained attendant. 10

DONALD ROBERT ARCHAMBAULT Archie Alcott August 14,1936 Bowling Club 3; Chemistry Club 4 This friendly baseball fan came from Wolcott, where he attended grammar school. While his interests here show he is scholastic as well as sports-minded, Archie hopes to make his career in the baseball field. JOSEPHINE JANICE ARENA Jo August 14, 1937 Chase Swimming Club 1; Dance Club 1, 2; Italian Club 2, 3, 4; Chemistry Club 4; Vice-President 4; D.A.R. Award Our vice-president, the girl with the pleasant smile, has an active part in the senior class. Her plans for the future are still indefinite, but her leadership here suggests success in whatever field she chooses. DOROTHY RACHAEL ARIOLA Dot January 19,1937 Russell Italian Club 3 It's no wonder Dot is popular, with her pleasing personality and smile. In her spare time she listens to her popular record collection. She has no definite plans yet for the future. ROBERT ARIOLA Bob April 10, 1935 Leavenworth Leavenworth lost when Bob came to us. Friendly and casual, he has baseball and mechanics as his special interests. Soon we ll be saying, Anchors Aweigh” to Bob, for he plans to join the navy soon after graduation. JOYCE MARIAN BAEDER May 20,1936 Bunker Hill Joyce is a shy little girl with a sunny smile. Cooking and knitting occupy her leisure time. The basketball tournament stands out as her greatest memory of Wilby, and her ambition is to become a private secretary, later marry. 11
