Punchy” has been a mighty popular boy about school, perhaps due to his outstanding work with the football team for three years. His hobbies are reading sport books and watching the Yankees play. He is undecided on his future career, but should make good in anything he undertakes. ALLEN ROY ELLIOTT Al” February 25, 1935 Wolcott Activities: Chemistry Club. Allen is one of the few boys who take an interest in their subjects. He likes playing the guitar. Maybe we’ll see him on television some day. BERNICE MARY EMOND Bernie” December 1, 1934 Wolcott Activities: Chemistry Club, Secretarial Club. Collecting statuettes of horses is one of Bernie’s” hobbies. She also collects snapshots and assorted cards. Bernie's” friendly and cheerful disposition will certainly help her in her ambition to be a private secretary. SUMELLA ERMIDIS Elite” October 20, 1935 Gorton High, Yonkers, N. Y. Activities: French Club, Senior Choir—Yonkers, N. Y. Ellie” is very fond of travel, dancing, and playing chess. Blackie” is a good-natured, care-free fellow. His pleasing personality has won him many friends at Wilby. Blackie's” ambition is to become a physical director, and if he handles that job the way he does a basketball, he positively will succeed. 22

' Dee, a very popular girl at Wilby, is always ready with a bright smile for everyone she meets. Dancing and swimming are Dee’s main interests. Her ambition is to become a private secretary. Barbara, a very pretty brunette, is interested in domestic accomplishments, such as cooking and knitting. We know that she will excel as either a book- keeper or a housewife; and she has our best wishes for whichever career is her choice. ANN MARIE B. Her main interests are sports, dancing, sewing, playing the piano, and singing. She wishes to be a secretary or dressmaker after graduation. We wish her success in either field. BEATRICE DUKAS Bea May 25, 1935 Activities: Secretarial Club, Secretary at Maloney. Bea, a credit to Wilby, hopes to be a stenographer. She is an expert in roller skating. If she is as good a stenographer as she is a roller skater, she won’t have much to worry about. VIRGINIA ANN DUMSCHOT October 17, 1935 Hamden High Activities: Glee Club, Accounting Club, Secretarial Club, Secretary at Hen- dricken. Quiet and attractive is just the way to describe Virginia. She is a hard- working girl in school, but a music-lover at home. Playing the piano is her favorite pastime. She also spends much of her time knitting.
