Although unassuming in manner, she has won many friends. Reading and listening to popular music are Dolly's favorite pastimes. She aspires to be a secretary, and we say, Success be yours, Doris. BARBARA ELINOR DENTON Bob” October 4, 1934 Mary Abbott Activities: High School Hi Lites, Room Representative, Balance Sheet Repre- sentative, Public Speaking Club (2 years), Classbook Committee. A friendly personality plus an inexhaustible supply of energy, has made Bob a popular student as evidenced by her many activities. This versatile lass spends her spare time dancing and participating in all sports. Bob” hopes to be a Speech Correctionist, and with her enthusiasm, she will come out on top. BERTHA LOUISE DeSANTIS Bert” March 15, 1934 Sprague Bert is a quiet yet likeable miss without a care in the world. When not dancing, she can be found swimming, skating, at the movies, or watching tele- vision. After graduation, Bert hopes to become an office clerk. Lots of luck, Bert. MARJORIE LOIS DESSER Marge” May 21, 1935 De Vilbiss High School Activities: Distributors’ Club. Marjorie came to Wilby in her senior year from Toledo, Ohio. Marge’s” varied interests include ping pong and horses. Her ambition is to be a horse- trainer and we wish her success. ANN MARIE DEVITA Chicken” October 21, 1934 Maloney Activities: Swimming Club, Glee Club, Spanish Club, Latin Club, Chemistry Club, Editor of the music column for La Voz.” With varieties of interests, including swimming, dancing, and tennis, we wonder about Chicken’s” main interest driving to the Sampson Air Force Base in New York. Chicken tells us not to wonder any longer. Her visits have to do with a certain someone. Her future plans involve a nursing career and a desire to become a housewife. MARY AGNES DADDONA Maer January 6, 1934 Walsh Activities: Swimming, Glee Club, Italian Club, Secretarial Club. Maer” can always be seen at the Wilby dances, at the swimming pool, tennis court, or watching pro-basketball. Mary is well liked by all who know her, and it is a sure thing that she will succeed when she enters the business field as a secretary. MARIE DOLORES D'AMICO November 9,1934 Duggan Activities: Room Representative (two years), President of Junior Class, Vice- President of Senior Class, President of Italian Club—Junior Divi- sion, President of Senior Italian Club, President of Secretarial Club, and Secretary of the Dance Club. Dancing, music, sports, going to the movies, listening to the radio, and crocheting—somehow Murph” seems to be able to find time to do all these things she enjoys. Marie has often said that she wishes to do work in the secre- tarial field after graduation. With her sunny disposition, we feel that Marie is sure to reach her goal. JOAN BERNADETTE D’ANDREA ]o” January 26,1934 Walsh Activities: Balance Sheet reporter in sophomore year, Editor of features and art departments for two years, Merriman Grammar School secretary. If you ever see anyone going through the halls hidden behind some large cardboards, you can be sure that it is none other than Jo.” You see, she is always preparing posters for some event or occasion. Having done quite a bit of work for the Balance Sheet, Jo” feels that she would like to enter' the field of Commercial Art. Because she has the ability and personality, how can she help but succeed. MARIE LUCILLE D'ANDREA Midge February 24, 1934 Slocum Activities: Secretarial Club, Slocum Grammar School Secretary. Midge” is a tall, attractive girl with a friendly manner. Her special inter- ests are collecting photographs and cards, and swimming and ice-skating. To be an efficient secretary is Midge’s” ambition, and with her secretarial capa- bilities, we know she will succeed. GRACE S. DANIELS Sally October 14, 1934 Sprague Activities: Secretarial Club, Ways and Means Committee, Classbook Com- mittee. Blonde, brown-eyed, vivacious, all speak of Sally,” Sprague's loss, but Wilby’s gain. Ice-skating and swimming top the list of favorite sports, and many an enjoyable hour she spends reading. Swimming and ice-skating occupy much of her spare time. We shall find Rosemarie working in an office, when she leaves Wilby. Millie,” another of Wilby’s quiet seniors, always has a friendly smile for her classmates. Interested in all sports, she especially likes ice-skating and tennis. Millie’s” future lies in the secertarial field, and we wish her the best of luck. JOSEPH Di SALVO Dreamer” Novmber 25, 1933 St. Marys Maybe Joseph's smile will flash at us from a Pepsodent adv. someday. You can find him in the center of any active conversation. Dreamer especially likes to study cars, as might be expected from that big Buick he drives around. He wants a career with the Navy, and with his pleasing personality we are sure he will attain success. GLORIA JEAN DRINKWATER Gogo” November 14,1934 Slocum Activities: Secretarial Club. Gogo’s” main ambition is to become a teletype operator. Reading, music, and collecting pictures rate high as her pastimes. Her gay spirits have made her many friends during her four years at Wilby. PAUL JOHN DUBAUSKAS Dubbs September 4, 1934 Barnard Activities: Roomleader for Freshman and Sophomore years. Chemistry Club, Key Club, Accounting Club, Assistant Ways and Means Committee Member. Barnard School is well represented by the presence of Dubbs,” a quiet, studious, and likeable fellow. His special interests are playing golf, collecting 45 r.p.m. records, he also enjoys winter sports. Paul's ambition is to become an accountant. The best of luck to you, Dubbs.” 23
