She possesses a cheer- ful disposition and has one beauty asset which we all envy, and that is naturally curly hair. Her one ambition is to become a secretary. DOROTHY MARY DELLORFANO Dot April 18, 1933 Webster Activities: Chemistry Club, Class Book Committee Dot's” special interest lies in reading and we are sure that this has helped her in gaining her high scholastic record. Her ambition is to become a nurse. We all wish Dot” bottles of pills, rather, lots of luck in this field. MARY DEMIR Mamie March 25, 1933 Maloney Activities: Secretarial Club Mamie” adds joy and laughter to any room. Her hobbies include art and collect- ing Nelson Eddy's records. She hopes to become a dress designer someday, and we know she will be a success, because of the fine work she has done at Wilby. HELEN de PAIVA March 1, 1933 Humiston-Cheshire Activities: Dance Club, Spanish Club, Spanish Paper, Class Book Committee, Secretary at Continuation School A kind disposition and a pleasant personality are Helen’s assets. Her main interests are dancing, ice-skating, and all sports. Helen’s enthusiasm and sociability will surely carry her far in her future career as a bookkeeper. BLANCHE EVELYN DESPINS December 10,1932 Anderson Activities: Chemistry Club Although an industrious, faithful student, Blanche loves to dance, ice-skate, and sew. RITA ANN DADDONA May 14, 1932 Slocum Activities: Glee, Dance, and Secretarial Clubs May is the month of May flowers, and Rita proved it when she blossomed forth in Waterbury. She acquired many friends in her four years at Wilby. Rita enjoys listening to band music and is adept at dancing. Rita hasn't told us her plans for the future, but here’s wishing that you may dance your way to success in the field you choose, Rita”. ANTHONY DALESSANDRO Del December 11, 1933 Driggs Do you like dating? If this question were asked of Del”, his answer would be a definite, Yes”. He also likes skating, baseball and football. His plans for the future include becoming a successful bookkeeper, and in this we feel sure he will gain the success he seeks. JOAN P. DALY March 14, 1933 Russell Activities: Glee Club, Chemistry Club Attractive and very likeable are just two adjectives which could be used to describe this bit of Wilby womanhood. Joan is interested mainly in tennis, swimming, and danc- ing; but she plans to make nursing her career. Let’s hope, though, that when word of this gets around, we don’t have a flood of would-be patients swarming to the hospital. VIRGINIA D’AMBRISI Gin October 5, 1933 Maloney Activities: Chemistry Club Gin” excells in swimming and is a lover of the outdoor life. Maybe Wilby has nurtured a second Florence Chadwick! She plans to travel when her ship comes in. Definitely! Angie’s hobbies are dancing and baking. We hope she’ll get her wish about seeing the world. EMILY MARY EGAN Kitten” September 13, 1933 St. Francis Xavier Activities: Spanish Club, Program Committee Chairman, Chemistry, Secretarial and Dance Club, Class Book Committee Cute and vivacious well describe this popular little red head. Always ready with a smile or even an outburst of laughter at a funny joke or story, Kitten”, as she is called by that extra special someone in her life, has no definite plans for the future, but she knows she would like to travel. MARILYN IVA DILGER September 16, 1932 Walsh Activities: Secretarial, Dance, Camera Club, Girls’ Basketball Team Marilyn came to Wilby at the beginning of her freshman year and since that time has made many new friends. She is the type of girl who seems always to be in a good mood. Marilyn has many interest, among which are Dancing, going to the movies, and all types of sports. Her ambition is to become a secretary and with a personality such as hers, she can’t miss. MARLENE JOAN DIETSCH Mar” March 31, 1933 Walsh Activities: Secretarial Club Although Mar” is quiet, there is always that ready smile and mischievous twinkle in her eye. Sports and dancing are her main interests. Someone, we know, will be mighty lucky to have Mar as a secretary. LUCY MARY DI LEA Lou” November 10, 1933 Hopeville Activities: Secretarial, Dance Clubs Lou” with her bright smile and happy nature, is always ready for fun. She has a friendly personality that makes her well-liked by all. Her chief interests are dancing, swimming, and all sports.
