ANN PATRICIA CORBETT Red July 6, 1932 Russell Activities: Glee Club, Spanish Club Ann is one of Wilby’s fair red-haired daughters. Swimming, bowling, and ice-skating head her list of sports. She is an earnest, hard-working student, and though she is rather reticent, has made many friends. To be efficient in office work is Red’s” aspiration, and, in this, her cheery disposition will be a valuable asset. DONALD FRANCIS CRETELLA Don October 23, 1933 Driggs Activities: Sophomore Room Leader, President of Chemistry Club Don” is a good-natured fellow with a personality that rates tops. His special interests are chemistry, basketball, baseball, and jazz records. We are all sure Don” will succeed in whatever he decides to major in at Connecticut University. Peter and Paul Activities: Projectionists Club, Key Club Ken” is already on the first rung of the ladder towards fulfilling his ambition to make banking his career, as he is employed in one of our local banks. PATRICIA ANN CUNNINGHAM Pat November 28, 1933 Sprague Activities: Secretarial Club This quiet little miss graduated from Sprague School in the ’ville and came to Wilby. Pat”, as she prefers to be called, is well-liked by her classmates because of her agreeable nature. Bowling and taking active part in the Drum Corps are her interests. After graduation, to be a secretary is her goal. Lots of luck, Pat”. After graduation he plans to travel and then go to work, with a view to owning his own business. We wish you all the luck in the world, Chick”. ELEANOR EUGENIA COER El” January 19, 1932 Humiston-Cheshirc Activities: Balance Sheet Representative, Spanish Paper, Spanish and Chemistry Clubs El” is a happy-go-lucky blonde. Horseback riding occupies most of Eleanor’s leisure hours, but she is fond of swimming, skating, and dancing too. Her sparkling smile will soon be lighting the corridors of some lucky hospital. NICHOLAS PAUL COLANGELO Shorty” August 13, 1932 B. W. Tinker Activities: Italian, Glee, and Public Speaking Clubs Don’t be surprised if you see the word press” in Shorty’s hat in the near future, because he hopes to become a reporter. BARBARA ANN COMMERFORD Bobbie” August 29, 1933 Sacred Heart Grammar Activities: Dance, Spanish, and Camera Clubs, Art Editor of La Voz. Bobbie” is the happy-go-lucky type who take life as it comes. Being a mathematical wonder, Bobbie” is always helping someone with his schoolwork. Good luck, Bobbie” in whatever field you choose. JOSEPH E. CONWAY Joe” February 21, 1933 Russell Activities: Spanish Club, Chemistry Club, Class Book Committee Among Wilby’s few boys, we find tall, good-looking Joe”. He has no.real hobby, but he enjoys baseball, basketball, and swimming. After graduation, Joe” would like to become either a chemist or a surveyor, and so to him we extend the very best of luck. 18

RITA ANN DADDONA May 14, 1932 Slocum Activities: Glee, Dance, and Secretarial Clubs May is the month of May flowers, and Rita proved it when she blossomed forth in Waterbury. She acquired many friends in her four years at Wilby. Rita enjoys listening to band music and is adept at dancing. Rita hasn't told us her plans for the future, but here’s wishing that you may dance your way to success in the field you choose, Rita”. ANTHONY DALESSANDRO Del December 11, 1933 Driggs Do you like dating? If this question were asked of Del”, his answer would be a definite, Yes”. He also likes skating, baseball and football. His plans for the future include becoming a successful bookkeeper, and in this we feel sure he will gain the success he seeks. JOAN P. DALY March 14, 1933 Russell Activities: Glee Club, Chemistry Club Attractive and very likeable are just two adjectives which could be used to describe this bit of Wilby womanhood. Joan is interested mainly in tennis, swimming, and danc- ing; but she plans to make nursing her career. Let’s hope, though, that when word of this gets around, we don’t have a flood of would-be patients swarming to the hospital. VIRGINIA D’AMBRISI Gin October 5, 1933 Maloney Activities: Chemistry Club Gin” excells in swimming and is a lover of the outdoor life. Maybe Wilby has nurtured a second Florence Chadwick! We all know that your pleasing way will help you to be a great success in the nursing field, Gin”. ANTHONY V. DeCAROLIS Tony March 1, 1932 Webster Tony”, although quiet in the classroom, is very active when it comes to outdoor life. We wish Tony” the greatest of success as a radio technician. 20
