Of his many favorite interests, he enjoys dancing most. In the future, he hopes to be a businessman. GRACE MARY CARUSO Tykie” March 27, 1933 Russell Activities: Secretarial, Spanish (Treasurer), Camera, Dance, and Glee Clubs (Librarian) ''Tykie” is one of Wilby’s most attractive and best-dressed seniors. Among her many interests are tennis, roler-skating, skiing, swimming, and dancing. She also likes to draw, and to design clothes. 'Tykie” would like to study in the field of commercial art in the future. Lots of luck, Tykie”. MELANIE A. CHARKOWSKY Mel” August 17, 1933 Walsh Activities: Secretarial Club Dancing, swimming, and bowling are Mel’s” recipe for frolic and fun. Mel”, who has taken the bookkeeping course, intends to make bookkeeping her career. We are sure that she will be most successful in her chosen work. PHYLLIS ANN CHILLEMI Phil” July 1, 1933 Woodrow Wilson Activities: Glee and Secretarial Clubs, Vice President of Second Year Italian Club, Class Book Committee Have you ever met the kind of person whose spirit is indomitable, whose exuber- ance is bubbling over, whose fun is contagious, whose presence is a pleasure? Then you must have met Phil”. She is all of these—and more! Phil” is undecided as to what she will do in the future, but we who know her, are sure she will be a credit to her Alma Mater. NONA CAROLE CIARLONE February 28, 1933 Henry S. Chase Activities: Glee Club, Secretarial Club, Class Book Committee This quiet, modest student has made many friends during her four years with us. Her likes include golfing, swimming, and bowling. Nona is ambitious, and will con- tinue her education at the University of Connecticut, where she will major in business administration. 17

Among his varied interests are printing, photography, and rais- ing pets. He hopes to be an interior decorator. Good luck, Tunny”. JEANNE FRANCES BULGIS Skeezicks” March 27, 1933 St- Marv’s Acti vities: Secretarial Club, Dance Club Skeezicks is a very active girl in and out of school. She likes dancing, roller- skating, and collecting bop records. Before securing a position, ’’Skeezicks” would like to travel and see America. RUTH BUSCH Ruthie” March 2, 1933 Hopeville Activities: Secretarial Club, Junior Red Cross Ruthie’s” friendliness has won her many friends. Dancing, basketball, and boys fill her spare time with enjoyment. She hopes to be a Medical Secretary. ELIZABETH ANN BYRNES Betsy” September 16, 1933 St. Margaret’s Activities: Camera, Dance, and Secretarial Clubs, Editor-in-chief of Balance Sheet, Mem- ber of High School Hi-Lites, Secretary at Kingsbury School. Betsy” is one of our most active seniors, as you can easily see by the number of activities she has participated in. She was also secretary at Kingsbury School during her senior year. Her hobbies and interests are collecting post cards, reading magazines, ice- skating, and boating. Betsy” hopes to enter Bryant College, where we know she will be just as active. BARBARA MARY CANNATA Bobbie” August 15, 1933 H- S. Chase Activities: Student Council, Secretarial and Glee Clubs, Treasurer of Junior Red Cross Big surprises come in small packages” is a phrase that suits Bobbie” to a T. What she lacks in stature, she makes up for in versatility. Swimming, bowling, reading, roller- skating, baseball, and football are her special interests. After graduation he plans to travel and then go to work, with a view to owning his own business. We wish you all the luck in the world, Chick”. ELEANOR EUGENIA COER El” January 19, 1932 Humiston-Cheshirc Activities: Balance Sheet Representative, Spanish Paper, Spanish and Chemistry Clubs El” is a happy-go-lucky blonde. Horseback riding occupies most of Eleanor’s leisure hours, but she is fond of swimming, skating, and dancing too. Her sparkling smile will soon be lighting the corridors of some lucky hospital. NICHOLAS PAUL COLANGELO Shorty” August 13, 1932 B. W. Tinker Activities: Italian, Glee, and Public Speaking Clubs Don’t be surprised if you see the word press” in Shorty’s hat in the near future, because he hopes to become a reporter. We might also add that he is interested in singing and dates with girls. Good luck in all fields, Shorty”. BARBARA ANN COMMERFORD Bobbie” August 29, 1933 Sacred Heart Grammar Activities: Dance, Spanish, and Camera Clubs, Art Editor of La Voz. Bobbie” is the happy-go-lucky type who take life as it comes. Being a mathematical wonder, Bobbie” is always helping someone with his schoolwork. Good luck, Bobbie” in whatever field you choose. JOSEPH E. CONWAY Joe” February 21, 1933 Russell Activities: Spanish Club, Chemistry Club, Class Book Committee Among Wilby’s few boys, we find tall, good-looking Joe”. He has no.real hobby, but he enjoys baseball, basketball, and swimming. After graduation, Joe” would like to become either a chemist or a surveyor, and so to him we extend the very best of luck. 18
