Focus On The Individual Student The years spent in high school are the times in which young people form their personalities and aims in life. Activities in high school include studies, sports, and many social groups which help build the personalities that will become a basic part of each individual. Often a young person becomes part of a group and loses the in- dividuality which everyone should possess. All individuals should have their own basic traits and personalities which set them apart from others, and at the same time, contribute to the school program. Many times we fail to see the individual in a group, to see the individual characteristics, or to focus on the individual. High school students are in a constant process of change, having new personalities with each changing hour and finally becoming a well-rounded individual with goals for high school and the future. The yearbook staff has focused on the individual while preparing the 1967 Digger for publication and has the purpose of making students aware of other individuals who have contributed so much to the school year. JOE RHOTEN CHECKS to see that a microscope is in proper position before placing it back on the shelf in the newly equipped Science laboratory. LIBBY WRIGHT SHOWS enthusiasm as the leads the spectators in a cheer for the Wilburton Diggers. 2
