« 1959-1960 YEARBOOK OF WILBURTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS PUBLISHED BY THE YEARBOOK STAFF DEDICATION With much pride we, the Annual Staff of Wilbur- ton High School dedicate to you the 1959-60 edition of the Digger’’ yearbook. Not only for the constant work and praise you have given our school, but also for what you have done in assisting and guiding the students, especially the Seniors in their many scholastic troubles. We sincerely thank you and ask you to accept this dedication. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT It is indeed with pleasure and great humility that I accept the position of honoree of the Wilburton “Diggers” for the school year of 1959-60. I realize that it is a distinction and a privilege to be thus mentioned, and it brings home to me the very clear implication that with such a distinction comes even greater responsibility to carry furtherthe clear torch of education as seen in our times. Superintendent RAYMOND E. COX B.S., M.S., ED. D. SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE The actions of people are the best interpreters of their thoughts. All our actions take their hue from the complexion of the heart, as landscapes do their variety from light. A good action or deed is never lost; it is a treasure laid up and guarded for the doer's need. The annual staff has seen fit to honor one of our beloved faculty members by dedicating this yearbook to her. We feel sure that this honor is part of the reward for the many kind and helpful services that Miss Bradley has rendered the many boys and girls of the Wilburton Public Schools during the past 21 years. Miss Bradley has shown a deep concern for the boys and girls with whom she has worked and counseled. She is a booster for the Wilburton Public Schools, loyal to the Administration, student body, and the community. I take great pleasure in joining the annual staff, the school personnel, the student body, and the community in dedicating this yearbook to one of our most loved and respected faculty members. May her memories of the many years of service here in Wilburton always be pleasant and we hope she will be with us many more years. May we also take this opportunity to say thanks to the Board of Education, student body, school personnel, and patrons for the opportunity to serve you during what we think has been another good school year.
