I “THE DIGGERS Yearbook 1956-1957 of Wilburton Public Schools Published By The Vearbook Staff Special Dedication We, the members of the Yearbook Staff, wish to join the thousands of Oklahomans who will be paying tribute to out state this semi-centennial year. The 1957 edition of THE DIGGERS is humbly, yet proud- ly dedicated to the great state of OKLAHOMA on its fiftieth anniversary. It becomes fitting and proper to make a double dedi- cation for tbe 1957 edition of THE DIGGERS. Therefore, the members of the yearbook staff wish to make a local dedication in honor of those men and women who have seen fit to provide the new addition to our school plant. We are proud of our new auditorium, cafeteria, band room, vocal music room, and administration spaces which make up our new addition. We believe itis the finest in the state. We ore proud of the progress thus far ond look to the future with much enthusiasm. We hope that those in responsible positions of government ond service will always strive to moke Oklahoma the greatest state in the Union. We hope that we can develop the natural resources and industry to the extent that our sons ond daughters will not have to leave Oklahoma for greener pastures. We believe thot every native son ond daughter should be proud of their birth place and be a booster for Oklahoma at all times and ploces. To our patrons ond Board of Educption we wont to let you know how grateful we ore to you thot you ore interested, foresighted enough, and willing to provide such a wonderful place for us all to work.
