fpezvtvmafz As times marches on and as our vision becomes clearer, our minds and our thoughts insensibly revert to other times it becomes our proud but painful duty to dedicate this annual We wish to pay the truth and tribute to the worth and work of a great ard good man To a man who did not follow the beaten path but followed the woods and streams wherever nent position in Who was refused cess or faithful to stoop the fear his fancy dictated To a man who earned and held a high and p omi- Judged man who of suc power the public schools of Oklahoma Who Judged as he would be to every trust and who carried the torch of truth To a except to lift who could not be bribed by the promise of failure, who would not bow to man or men for place or a man who was ever proud of his country and state that was and ever will be p oud of him To a man in whose nature there was no compromise and to whom there were but two paths the right and wrong, and who ever adhered to the right To him who has left with us, and to the generations that are to come as the hou s perish into eternity, the wealth and memory of a brave, imperious, honest man who bowed alone to death.
