The Wilburton Diggers opened tnelr 1950 season August 23, with 21 boys re- porting for practice. As the season went on Coach Elmer Ary and Coach William Blankenship soon had more material with which to work. The captains, Bill Dunlap, and Virgil Bullard were spirited with the team to go a long way in the llB Conference. To the seniors, Bill Dunlap, Virgil Bullard, Richard Wade, Mike Emberty, Leycel Burger, Charlie Rice, DeRoy Forwoodson, and Drewie Sparks, the team has enjoyed working with you through your sports in high school and has enjoyed the fine sportsmanship displayed by you seniors. We, the team of 1950, would like to thank Mrs. Selby, Miss Buchanan, and the Pep Club girls for the fine support they gave us in our 1950 season.
